We are Streatham’s well-kept secret – a friendly, social tennis club set among houses between the High Road and Tooting Bec Common.

Located a short walk from the Streatham High Road and Streatham Hill Station, Woodfield Grove Tennis Club is tucked away down a private footpath.

We may be in a sheltered environment but we have four floodlit courts, a dynamic coaching team and field seven teams in the Surrey and local competitions.

We are also a safe play to play, with our coaching team well-versed in first aid, a defibrillator on site and a Welfare Officer keeping a close eye on both safeguarding and health & Safety.

In fact, it’s a great place to play – secure and accessible at all times – and whatever your standard, you will find plenty of opportunity to join in.

Why not pay us a visit? Use the contact form on the Find Us page to set up a time so we can make sure there is someone at the club to show you around.

Woodfield Grove is a one-way street so, if you are coming by car, approach from Woodfield Avenue.

Street parking is available.

We can be hard to find, so look for the sign that marks the secure entry gate and ring the bell for access!

There’s plenty going on at our club too!

The Millennium Cup starts again in April against the four other local clubs in Streatham and is an opportunity for those new to competition to experience friendly match play.

Woodfield Grove won the trophy in 2013 and would dearly love to do so again!

A Winter Handicap Doubles Tournament is being played over the first three months of the year, which is a great chance to get out onto the courts with other members.

You can get your rackets strung here too by an accredited ERSA/TRS stringer – Mike Harding – who visits the club on a regular basis and can advise on the best stringing, tension and grips for your game.

Our special one-day event, the Ris Team Cup, is scheduled for Saturday 8 April from 3pm – 6pm when up to four teams of club members will play out a league using the Fast4 short format and then have a happy time at a barbecue in the evening.

And then it will time for the Club Summer Tournament to be played over May and June in time for Finals Day on Saturday 24 June.

With Club Sessions, online Tennis Ladders for singles and doubles and Surrey League matches, there is plenty of opportunity for players of all standards to play at Woodfield Grove where a team of coaches is on hand to help you on your way.
