All set for the Winter Mixed Handicap Tournament

Like to play matches?

Members at Woodfield Grove Tennis Club are coming out of hibernation for the Winter Mixed Handicap Tournament, the draw for which took place on 7 February.

This year’s tournament takes the form of two round robin groups, the winners from which will contest for the silverware on Saturday 27 April.

With five teams in each group, there will be four matches apiece to complete over the coming weeks to determine the group winners, plenty to get the competitive juices flowing again.

The second placed pairs will also play on Finals Day, for Consolation prizes.

This is just one of several competitions run at the club over the year, including a Summer Tournament, the Ris Team Cup, regular American Tournaments and online tennis ladders for singles and doubles.

The club also fields teams in the LTA Team Tennis, Surrey Leagues and Surrey Knockout competitions so there is plenty of scope for players with a competitive edge to them.

Our excellent coaching team can help to fine-tune your game or, if you are new to the sport, get you up and running through a series of programmes designed to help players of all ages and abilities.

As spring approaches, it is time to think about getting out on the tennis court and Woodfield Grove Tennis Club is a great place to do just that.
